A baker buys some eggs at 18k each. He finds out that 8 of them are broken,he sells the rest at 24k each and makes a profit of #2.88. How many eggs did he buy?

Bought X eggs @ 18 Cents each.
Cost = 18x.
(x-8)eggs * 24Cents/egg = 24x-192
= Sale price.
Profit = Sale Price - Cost = (24x-192) - 18x = 288 Cents,
6x = 480, X = 80.
Cost = 18x.
