try to use normal symbols, ok?
lim(x->2) (x^3-8)/(x^2-5x+8) = 0
since the denominator is not zero.
However, if you meant
lim(x->2) (x^3-8)/(x^2-6x+8)
that is different.
(x^3-8)/(x^2-6x+8)
= (x-2)(x^2+2x+4) / (x-2)(x-4)
= (x^2+2x+4)/(x-4) if x≠2
-> 12/-2 = -6
lim(x->2) (x^3-8)/(x^2-5x+8) = 0
since the denominator is not zero.
However, if you meant
lim(x->2) (x^3-8)/(x^2-6x+8)
that is different.
(x^3-8)/(x^2-6x+8)
