Why is photosynthesis an example of a chemical reaction, and why is it classified as endothermic?

Answers

Answered by same
Photosynthesis turns carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and carbohydrates, therefore a chemical change occurs. It is also an endothermic reaction, because, energy needs to be inputted in order for photosynthesis to occur. The energy input is then stored in the bonds of the glucose that were formed as a result of photosynthesis.

I've seen this and you won't get any points if you use it. In fact, you will get an HCV. I have also shared the answer will all C.A. teachers, so that they know you are a cheater if you use it.

Nope, your teachers really know about this site and we look for these answers and flag them so that you don't get credit for using them. I am currently making a shared document for the teachers to all use to find these answer responses and mark them as Honor Code Violations.

Photosynthesis requires energy, making it an endothermic reaction. Light, generally sunlight, is the source of this energy. The process converts the sun’s electromagnetic energy into chemical energy, which is then stored in chemical bonds in the plant. Sunlight is the primary source of energy on the surface of Earth.
