A perfectly efficient machine (e=1) is used to move a 53.4 kg load. The input force moves a distance of 13.4 m as the load rises 1.34 m. What is the mechanical advantage of the machine? What is the magnitude of the input force?

mechanical advantage = 13.4/1.34 = 10

weight = 53.4 g = 53.4*9.81

divide by 10 for input force
5.34 * 9.81 = 52.4 Newtons input
