What are the differences between premodern and modern reporting styles.
A headline and the first two or three sentences of the news article that would carry the story of that event in premodern style

ยท Ensure that both sets address the same historic event.

How are you defining modern and premodern reporting?

Matt
premodern style was dramatic where modern sticks more to facts, and morals presented itself more in premodern reporting where in modern the more serious side came out.

Thanks for clarifying your question.
Sometimes, though, it's difficult to separate premodern from modern reporting. The headline, "Obama Pals With Terrorists," is a direct quote from Governor Palin -- but it certainly appeals to emotions and doesn't present facts.
I suggest you take a premodern story and present it. Then, rewrite the first couple of sentences and the headline to reflect modern practices that emphasize facts.
