Julio uses a scale of 1/8 inch= 1 foot when he paints landscapes. In one painting, a giant sequoia tree is 34.375 inches tall. How tall is the real tree?

34.375 in (1 ft/.125 in) = 275 ft

I divided
I do it the science way, multiply so units cancel
you can do it by ratios

.125 in/1 ft = 34.375 in / x ft

.125 x = 34.375

x = 34.375 / .125
