Question

My assignment is to write autobiographical research paper that analyzes the influences of race as it relates to your community. I don't know how to start out. Please advise.

It sounds as if you are supposed to write about a part of your life (autobiography) during which you were affected by or at least aware of influences of race or ethnicity in YOUR community.

First you should choose a time in your life when you either experienced or observed occurrences that were related in major or minor ways to the race/ethnicity issue. Then plan (plan = brainstorm and outline) the segment of your life you are focusing on.
