Question

Tom has taken 3 tests with an average of 88%. However, Tom really wants an A. To get an A, he has to have an average score of 93%. What score does he need on the final test to get an A?

I just don't get it. Can someone walk me through the steps to get to the answer?

Answers

Ms. Sue
88 * 3 = 264

400 * 0.93 = 372

372 - 264 = 108

Sorry -- but it isn't possible for Tom to get an A.
