Question

My problem is evaluate the expression -1 11/16 - (-4 1/6)?
1) -27/16 + 25/6 = -81/48 + 200/48 = 119/48 = 2 23/48

2) -1 33/48 + 4 8/48 = 3 41/48

Have to do it two ways, why can't I get the same answer. What am I doing wrong?

= - 27/16 + 25/6 sure enough

= -81/48 + 200/48 agree

= 119/48

= 2 23/48 yes
