Ron, is making flower bouquets. He must put exactly 6 carnations and 5 roses in each bouquet. If he has 45 of each flower, how many bouquets can he make?

45X5=225, 45x6=270
225+270=495
11 divided by 495=45

or 6 divided by 45=7 R3 ,
5 divided by 45 = 9
7+9=16 R3

or 6X5=30 +45= 75

since 45/6 = 7 1/2, he has only enough carnations to make 7 bouquets.

He has more than enough roses for those 7 bouquets.
