I am thinking of a number. I multiply it by 8 and add 15. I get the same answer if I multiply by 2 and add 81.

result1 = 8x + 15
result2 = 2x + 81
so 8x + 15 = 2x + 81

8x+15=2x+81
8x-2x=81-5
6x=66
x=66/6
x=11
