Amy, Beth , Gretchen and Deb each had a 2 large chocolate bars. Each chocolate bar was the same size. Here is what each girl ate:

Amy :8/6 of her chocolate bars
Beth : 1 1/6 of her chocolate bar
Katie: 9/6 of her chocolate bars
Gretchen: 1 5/6 of her chocolate bars
Deb: 1 3/6 of her chocolate bars

How much did each girl eat?
How could you show how many chocolate bars were eaten in total?
Add the fractions and subtract from 8.

Now hiw do I find out how much chocolate remains?
Subtract the total eaten from 8.
