How many tiles of length 8cm breath 5cm are needed to tile a floor of dining space which is 400 cm long and 300 cm wide

length of floor of dining space=400cm
breadth=300cm
area=400×300
=120000cm^2
length of tile=8cm
breadth=5cm
area of one tile =8×5
=40cm^2
tiles required =120000/40
=3000 tiles

If we lay the tiles so the the length of the tile falls along the 4 m floor length, then we need 400/8 or 50 tiles along the length, and 300/5 or 60 tiles along the width.
Which is 50x60 or 3000 tiles, just like anjali had
but if we lay the width along the 400 cm length, we will need
400/5 or 80 tiles along that way, and
300/8 or 37.5 rows of tiles the other way.

and we will need 80x38 or 3040 tiles.
