I would subtract first to eliminate y
65 y is in both

subtractions would make the y's go away

subtract the first equation from the 2nd to get
991x = 208
x = 208/991

sub back into the first:
234(208/991) + 65y = 219
65y = 219 - 48672/991 = 168357/991
y = 168357/64415
