Calculate the Volume in Cubic Feet of a section of drainage pipe that measures 8 feet in length and 24 inches in diameter. I know that all measurements must be un the same units.

So there re 12 inches in 1 foot...so it would be 12*8=96 inches

3.14*12=37.68*12=452.16*96=43407.36
then I have to convert to cubic feet.
43407.36^1728= 25.12 cubic feet
IS this correct

It seems to me that it's easier to convert the radius to 1 foot and then solve the problem.

How many cubic feet in a foot?

There are no cubic feet in a foot. However, there are 12^3 (12 * 12 * 12) cubic inches in a cubic foot.

For the volume of a drainage pipe (which I assume is circular), you need to multiply the area of a circle (Pi * r^2) by the length. It doesn't look like you have done that.

I hope this helps a little more. Thanks for asking.
