now :
g : r = 4 : 3
so let the number of greens be 4x
and the number of reds be 3x
after removal,
greens = 4x-5
reds = 3x-5
Now:
(4x-5)/(3x-5) = 3/2
cross-multiply, or multiply each side by 2(3x-5)
9x - 15 = 8x - 10
x = 5
number of original reds = 3x = 15
g : r = 4 : 3
so let the number of greens be 4x

reds = 3x-5
