1. A car travels from one point to another point that is 4km to the east of its original position and then back to its original position in 22 minutes. What will be the car's average speed? What will be the car's average velocity?
3.) A truck is moving with a velocity of 83 km/hr. It comes to rest by slowing down at a rate of 6m/s^2. How long does it take the truck to come to rest? How far does the truck travel in the process of stopping?

1.
Well, first of all
The average VELOCITY is ZERO because it went nowhere. The arrow from the starting point to the end point has no length, no displacement.
the average speed however id the total distance 8 km / 22 min
2.
83 km/hr(1 hr/3600 s)(1000 m/km)= 23 m/s
v = Vi + a t
0 = 23 - 6 t
t = 3.83 seconds
d = Vi t + (1/2)a t^2
d = 23 (3.83) - 3(3.83)^2
d = 88.2 - 44.1
= 44.1 meters
