A cell can no longer supply energy when it cannot provide a closed path for electrons and ions to travel. Based on your knowledge of cells and batteries, where can a cell fail? Provide 3 specific examples.
Unfortunately, the only example I can think of is when the reactants are used up in a primary battery and the cell can no longer produce electricity...
Do you have any others?
Thank you!

When one of the contacts internal (usually the anode) breaks physically, when the reactants are used up, when the electrolye dries up (usually from air leaks), when the external circuit is broken (no path for electrons).
