The particle P is placed on a plane inclined to the horizontal at an angle b, where sin b=1 /5. The coefficient of friction between P & the plane is 1 /((6 )^0.5). The string passes over a smooth pulley at A, & AQ hungs vertically. The system is at rest with the string taut & the part AP parallel to a line of greatest slope of the inclined plane. The particle P is at a distance of 0.5 m from A & the particle Q is a height of 0.7 m above the ground. Find the set of possible values of m for the system to remain at rest. It is given that m=0.3 & the system is released from rest in the position. Show that the speed of P when it reaches A is 1.90 ms^-1, correct to 3 significant figures.Find the work done against friction as P moves from its initial position to A. Just before P reaches A, the string breaks.Find the speed with which Q strikes the ground. Ans : 0 <=m<=3 /25 ; 2 /5 J; 2.76m/s
