A student can walk 30ft in 10s. Hiw far could she walk in 1 hour? Write the answer in miles and yards.

use a simple ratio:
30/10 = x/60 , notice 60 minutes = 1 hr
x = 60(30/10) = 180 ft
you do the conversion to yards, etc

If you can go 30ft/10s and there are 3ft in 1yd you can go 1yd/s (10yd/10s simplified)
Since there's 60s in 1m,you can go 60yd/m
