In a shower 5cm of a rain falls. Find the volume of water on 2 hectares of land.

one hectare = 100 m by 100m
= 10,000 cm by 10,000 cm
volume of water = (10,000)(10,000)(5) cm^3
= 500,000 L , since 1000 cm^3 of water = 1 L
