I will do one but then let's see your tries.

1. x/-10 > 6

- x > 60
- x > -60
- x < -60
- x < -4
==========================
multiply both sides by negative 10.
When you multiply an inequality by a negative, change the direction of the arrow.
so
x < -60
so I do not agree with any of your choices
However always check by trying something that should be right.
For example does -61 work?
x/-10 > 6
-61/-10 = 6.1
which is indeed >6
so my answer is correct and you did not list a correct one.
Answered by Samantha
Okay. But those were the answers that the test gave me. :/
Answered by Damon
Looking at them I doubt it. Perhaps you did not intend to type a - sign in front of all the answers?
Answered by Samantha
Oh, the - sign is indicating the answers. It's not within the answer.
Answered by Damon
LOL, then I agree on the first one.
Answered by Damon
x <-60
which is the third one down
now you try them
Answered by Damon
here is #6

6. Can you explain all the steps by getting this?

n/-3 + 5 > 4
=============================
n/-3 > 4-5

n/-3 > -1

n < 3 note arrow direction change because multiply by - 3 not +3

Answered by Samantha
So it's x < -60? Okay! ;)
Answered by Damon
By the way I have no idea what underlined means.
Answered by Damon
yes, any x to the left of -60
Answered by Samantha
Oh yeah, sorry. Underlined < means less than or equal to and underlined > means greater than or equal to. I couldn't underline < and >.
Answered by Damon
Oh ! That is your way of saying </= or >/= :)
Answered by Samantha
Exactly!

2. 5z (underlined >) -75

- z (underlined <) -15
- z (underlined <) 15
- z (underlined >) -15
- z (underlined >) -375
============================
5 z >/= -75

z >/= -15
Answered by Samantha
Yep, I think I got the same answer as well. So, it's the third one again?
Answered by Damon
Yes

Okay, anyone else?
