The length of a rectangle is 3 more than it's width. the perimeter of the rectangle is 58cm. what are the rectangle dimensions?

P = 2L + 2W

58 = 2(W + 3) + 2W

Solve for W.

perimeter = 2 w + 2 (w +3) = 58

4 w + 6 = 58

4 w = 52

w = 13

so 13 by 16
