How do the nucleotides affect the DNA?

This question had two parts but I already the the first part and half of the second, so could you help me with this last part?

Never mind, I checked for a few more minutes in the book and found a paragraph that talks about nucleic acid and how it pretty much makes the DNA. Thanks to anyone who at least looked at my question!
