Question

I have to separate salt, sand, steel shot, copper shot, and plastic pellets(one type is heavier than water.
Any help? thank you

More than one of the materials on the list, including most plastic, is heavier than water. The salt can be dissolved away and the steel shot can be removed from whatever sinks to the bottom, using magnets. A mesh filter will remove the sand. Nitric acid will dissolve the copper pellets
