Question

An object of mass 2kg is pulled to the right w/a force of 20N. The force makes an angle of 20o w/ the displacement axis. If the interface is rough w/a coefficient of kinetic friction 0.3, what's the net force along the diaplacement axis?

Wo = M*g = 2 * 9.8 = 19.6 N.

Fn = 19.6-20*sin20 = Normal force.

Fk = u*Fn = Force of kinetic friction.

Net force = 20*Cos20 - Fk.
