ok so I asked a question like this before and I understood how to do it and a cuple more like it but now I don't understand how to do this on .....

Multiply negative 5 by 2w then you add 1 and see if the answer is right.

The first thing that you to is distribute the -5 to both the terms in parenthesese.
So you get -10W-5=25.
than you add five to both sides and get -10w=30.
The last thing you do is divide both sides by -10.
w=-3.
So you get -10W-5=25.
