Write an equation in point slope form y-y1=m(x-x1) for a line containing the point (1,2) and has a slope of 3 Can someone explain how to do this problem. I'm having trouble with this.

(1, 2), (x, y).
m = (y-2)/(x-1) = 3.
(y-2) = 3(x-1).
