Find the derivative of the function f by using the rules of differentiation.
F(x) = x^3 – 4x^2 + 3 / x
The sign “/” means divided by (OVER)…this problem looks like a big fraction. I am so lost though because I do not know why I keep getting 3x – 4. Can someone please show me how to do this one?!

You mean:
F(x) = (x^3 – 4x^2 + 3) / x ?
if so, then first divide each term by x
F(x) = x^2 - 4x + 3/x
F'(x) = 2x - 4 - 3/x^2
F(x) = (x^3 – 4x^2 + 3) / x ?
if so, then first divide each term by x
F(x) = x^2 - 4x + 3/x
F'(x) = 2x - 4 - 3/x^2
