compare and contrast two ancient civilizations.
i had the choice between
-indus
-mesoamerica
-egypt
-mesopotamia
-china haung he river
i think im going to write about egypt and mesopotamia since they have alot on them...
for now all i have to write is an intruductory paragraph which sounds easy enough
but could someone-
giv me a few pointers on what to base my comparison and contrast on.
also i must come up with a good thesis statement which i don't know how to do or what to write about in it.

I'm glad you chose Egypt and Mesopotamia -- because I know the most about these two cultures. :-)
Before you write a thesis statement or an introductory paragraph, you need to list the similarities and differences between Egypt and Mesopotamia.
Some of the items you should consider are:
geography and location (rivers?)
agriculture (crops?)
language and writing
interment of the dead
religion
government
monuments
After you've completed your list, then you can write your thesis statement.
