The roadrunner bird can run 14 times miles per hour. That's 7 times faster than an ostrich can walk. How fast does an ostrich walk?

7 X ?= 14 I would write the equation like this. Not sure my 8 year old would be able to do this.

She knows that 7x 2 or 7+7+14, but they want you to show your work. Not sure how best to do that.

My daughter is working on a Common Core Math multiplication problem. How does she show her work? They haven't started division yet. This seems like a division problem.
