In "Ribbons", Stacy's grandmother stiffens and scolds her when Stacy tries to hug her. What does this show about the cultural differences between the two characters?

It shows that Stacy's way of affection is different from the way Paw-Paw would show affection. Stacy would hug, Paw-Paw would bow.
