                What is the answer to this? I don't understand how to solve it.
1.2 = 4.6 tan 50 - 4.9 (4.6^2)/(x^2 cos^2 50)

        1.2 = 4.6 tan 50 - 4.9 (4.6^2)/(x^2 cos^2 50)

    well, just plug in the values of the trig functions, and you have
1.2 = 4.6*1.192 - 4.9*21.16/(0.413x^2)
Now just collect the constants and solve for x.

1.2 = 4.6*1.192 - 4.9*21.16/(0.413x^2)
Now just collect the constants and solve for x.
