I would write it like this
(-12/3)(-8+(-4^2) -6)+2
= -4(-8 -16 -6) + 2
= -4(-30) + 2
= 120+2
= 122
the problem you had is the -4^2
you took it as (-4)^2
(-4)^2 = (-4)(-4) = 16
-4^2 = -1(4)(4) = -16

(-12/3)(-8+(-4^2) -6)+2
= -4(-8 -16 -6) + 2
= -4(-30) + 2
= 120+2
= 122
