Question

A car accelerates from rest at 5 metres per square seconds. Calculate the distance covered by the car after 6 seconds

Answers

Reiny
a = 5
v = 5t + c
at t=0 , v = 0, so c =0
v = 5t
s = (5/2)t^2 + k
again, when t=0,s=, thus k=0

so we have s = (5/2)t^2
when t=6
s = (5/2)(36) = 90

insert the necessary units and state your conclusion
