there are 40 bikes inspected. If 15 need new tires and 26 need gear repairs.
-what is the greatest number of bikes that could have needed both repairs?

No more than 15 will need both repairs.

Since 15 + 26 = 41, at least one will need both.

40 - 26 = 14 could need neither.
