A planes flight path called for it to fly from J to W. W is 200km due North and 500km West of J. What bearing will the pilot fly and what distance will be traveled in air kilometers. I know to draw and image but that is it.

Y = 200km.

Tan A = Y/X = 200/500 = 0.400.
A = 21.8o N. of W.= 68.2o W. of N. = The Bearing.

D = 500/Cos21.8 = 539 km.
