Write a brief discussion of the relationship between the atomic spectrum (number and position of the lines) and the electronic structure (shell model) of the gases.

I know that the bigger the atom, less energy and so does that have something to do with this question?

Yes but remember the number of electrons makes a difference and where those electrons are placed makes a difference.
