Assuming the usual sloppiness with parentheses, I will assume you meant

(44/9)x - 7/4 + (12/7)x + 1
= (44/9 - 12/7)x - 7/4 + 1
= (200/63)x - 3/4

I might have thought you were using x for multiplication, except the "12/7x+1" was strange.

If this is wrong, try again, using * for multiplication, and toss in some parentheses to disambiguate things a bit.
