If someone can help me understand this question I'd appreciate it.
Solve the following equation. Its a 3x3 matrix that = x^2 first row is 0 0 -1, second row 3 x 0, 2 0 3. Im not quite sure how to find x so i can figure out what x^2 is.

If you are trying to find the determinant such that
|0 0 -1|
|3 x 0| = x^2
|2 0 3|
Then that reduces to
2x = x^2
|0 0 -1|
|3 x 0| = x^2
|2 0 3|
Then that reduces to
2x = x^2
