Julia spent 1/3 of her birthday money. Then she lost 1/2 of the rest. She now has $10.00 dollars left.how much did she get for her birthday.

original amount = x
spent 1/3 of x so left with 2 x/3
lost half of that so left with x/3
so
x/3 = 10
x = 30 dollars
