The way you typed it , we would get
5m + 7/m^2 - 21
I have a feeling you meant:
(m+7)/(m^2+4m-21)
= (m+7)/( (m+7)(m-3) )
= 1/(m-3) , m ≠ -7
See how extremely important those brackets are ??
