y = m x + b
put in slope m
y = -1 x + b
put in point y = -2 where x = 1
-3 = -1(1) + b
so
b = -2
so
y = -x -2

1st, plot the point (1,-3)

Now, a slope of -1 means that every time x changes by +1, y changes by -1.

Starting at the point (1,-3), move right 1 and down 1 to (2,-4) and plot that point.

Then draw a line through the two points.

And review the concept of slope...

on your graph mark the point where x = 1 and y = -3

from there go right one and down one (slope of -1) and mark a second point.

draw a line through those two points.
