original --- x
after first increase --- x + 1200
now decrease of 11%
-- 89% are left
.89(x+1200) = x-32
.89x + 1068 = x - 32
1100 = .11x
x = 10,000
after first increase --- x + 1200
now decrease of 11%
-- 89% are left
.89(x+1200) = x-32
.89x + 1068 = x - 32
1100 = .11x
x = 10,000

calculation is missing after the step
89X+1068 = X-32
it will be 88X + 1100 not 1100 =11X
89X+1068 = X-32
it will be 88X + 1100 not 1100 =11X

Original=x
After first increase=x+1200
After decrease of 11%(11/100) remaining is 89%(89/100)
Towns population=89(x+1200)=x-32
=0.89x+1068=x-32
=x-0.89=1068+32
=11x/100=1100
=11x=11000
=X=10000
After first increase=x+1200
After decrease of 11%(11/100) remaining is 89%(89/100)
Towns population=89(x+1200)=x-32
=0.89x+1068=x-32
=x-0.89=1068+32
=11x/100=1100
=11x=11000
=X=10000

Let the population is X

Let the population:x
Increased population:1200
Then,
New population= X+1200
Decreased percentage= 11%
New population= X+1200-(X+1200)11%
X+1200-11x/100-1200*11/100
89x/100+1068
According to problem,
X-32=89x/100+1068
X=10,000
Increased population:1200
Then,
New population= X+1200
Decreased percentage= 11%
New population= X+1200-(X+1200)11%
X+1200-11x/100-1200*11/100
89x/100+1068
According to problem,
X-32=89x/100+1068
X=10,000

Let's assume total population= p
So increased population= p+1200
Now after 11% decrease population= p-32
So total decreased population= 1200+32= 1232
11% of 1200 = 1200×11/100 =132
So 11% of p = 1232-132 = 1100
If 11% of p = 1100
Then 1% of p = 1100/11
and 100% of p = 1100/11×100 =10000
So original population was= 10000.
So increased population= p+1200
Now after 11% decrease population= p-32
So total decreased population= 1200+32= 1232
11% of 1200 = 1200×11/100 =132
So 11% of p = 1232-132 = 1100
If 11% of p = 1100
Then 1% of p = 1100/11
and 100% of p = 1100/11×100 =10000
So original population was= 10000.

Let Population of town=x
After increase1200 i.e present population=x+1200
11℅ of present=(x+1200)11/100
11%decrease in present population=(x+1200)-(x+1200)11/100
As per problem
(x+1200)-(x+1200)11/100=x-32
100x+120000-11x-13200=100(x-32)
-11x=-110000
X=10000
After increase1200 i.e present population=x+1200
11℅ of present=(x+1200)11/100
11%decrease in present population=(x+1200)-(x+1200)11/100
As per problem
(x+1200)-(x+1200)11/100=x-32
100x+120000-11x-13200=100(x-32)
-11x=-110000
X=10000
