This is what it says in my book "often the quickest way to get information on a particular subject is to use encyclopedias " so.....

But an encyclopedia doesn't give you varied information about a subject.
When this question was written at least 15 years ago, the correct answer was B, the card catalog. However, as the article above points out, computers have mostly replaced the old card catalogs. None of the answers is correct.
