Did Dalton and Thomson believe that the atom was made of solid mass?

I believe Dalton did but I think Thomson did not. Dalton talked about atoms being the smallest "particles" of an element and didn't go into how they were constructed (electrons, protons, neutrons were not known then) but Thomson discovered the first subatomic particle (the electron) and talked about the plum pudding model.
