This is because the pattern is going up by 2's (4, 6, 8...) therefore the next in line is 10 and 12. Hence the answers 29 and 41.

The differences are 4,6,8,10,12,...
The 2nd differences are 2,2,2,...

That means it's a quadratic.

a+b+c = 1
4a+2b+c = 5
9a+3b+c = 11

Looks like

An = n^2+n-1

So, when is

n^2-n-1 = 2549
n^2-n-2550 = 0
(n+50)(n-51) = 0

Looks like A51 = 2549
