Answers

Ms. Sue
I showed you how to do this kind of problem. Now it's your turn.

How do you think this problem can be solved?

sia
hmmm okay 12x 1/2=100
12x=100
x=8.33?
Ms. Sue
Your answer doesn't make any sense. The marksman must have to shoot many times 100 to register 100 hits.

Try again.
sia
12.5x=100/12.5
x=8?
sia
do you multiply the 12.5 by 100?
sia
x * 12.5% = 100
x * (12.5/100) = 100
.125x = 100
x = 100/.125
x = 800
Ms. Sue
You need to change the percent to its decimal equivalent.

sia
So just do 0.125/100
Ms. Sue
0.125x = 100

x = 100/0.125
