change the water to HOH for balancing. YOu have 2OH in the Bahydroxide, and 8 H2O on the left, so you need 10 H2O on the right. Where did the H come from? change the prefix to the ammoniumSCN to 2.

Ba(OH2)x 8H20+ NH4SCN--> Ba(SCN2)+ H20 + NH3

no im pretty sure SCN2 is right.
It is saying S C N2 and that N has two.
