Question
The reusably booster rockets of the U.S space shuttle employ a mixture of aluminum and ammonium perchlorate for fuel. A possile equation for this reaction is
3Al+3NH4CLO4---> Al2O3+ AlCl+ 3NO+ 6H2O
What mass of the NH4CLO4 should be used in the fuel mixture for every kilogram of Al?
Can someone explain this problem step by step to? Im really lost.

look at the mole ratios. 3 moles of ammoniumperchlorate for 3moles of aluminum.
How much does each mole weigh? That gives you the mass ratio.
